CHICKEN CHOW MEIN
Chicken Chow Mein is the most popular noodle dish in the world It all comes right down to the flavor.
Chicken Chow Mein
is an instant hit. Everybody loves it. I believe it's due to the flavor
that the noodles acquire when they are stir-fried with the condiment. It's
a distinctive delicious flavour that covers the chicken, the vegetables, as
well as the noodles, which is what I love the most. It's also a fantastic
method to get your vegetables into. I like having chicken in my meals but
shrimp, or simply veggies are also great.
A few
ingredients create this the classic Chow Mein flavour
There are some
ingredients that I would not replace or attempt to find substitutes
for. Soy sauce and sesame oil provide these noodles a delicious flavour
that is savory. It's impossible to get the same flavour without these two
ingredients. The verdict isn't yet in on the noodles however. I'm
sure Chow Mein noodles should be utilized for this, however there are times
when I've not been able to locate these. It happens often and is the
reason I usually use spaghetti to make this. The texture isn't quite like
the critty Chow Mein noodles you should choose, but you can create the same
taste by stir the noodles in a pan using a little bit of corn starch.
Variations
let you make it your own
I enjoy adding
my personal taste to recipes which is why you could easily incorporate your own
flavour to these recipes for chicken Chow Mein. I like mixing up the
veggies according to my mood and what's at home. I've included some
substations and alternatives in the notes on the recipe below. This recipe
is packed with flavour, but if are a fan of spicy food, you must
absolutely go for this delicious spicy

same as Spicy Chicken Chow Mein and it's delicious. It's very similar,
only the sauce is different.

NOTES
The
noodles. It's a challenge to locate Chow Mein noodles (not the cracker
similar ones. I prefer the chicken Chow Mein
noodles) at all grocery stores. I don't always cut Chow Mein noodles in my
kitchen; however, I always have a bag of spaghetti and it is great for this
recipe. It is possible to use thin spaghetti or regular spaghetti. I
typically use 3/4 of the box that is approximately 12 grams.
The
vegetables. I like keeping them a small and crunch. It is possible to
add any vegetable you like. Other alternatives to the ones that are
mentioned above include broccoli, bell peppers, and bean sprouts.
You can save
time. I enjoy being fast when cooking, and that's why I make use of a
coleslaw bag for this chow-mien. It's faster when I don't need to chop the
cabbage finely. I also prefer matchstick carrots.
Are you not a
fan of chicken? Do not worry about it. Make the same dish simply
substitute the chicken with the strips of lean beef or shrimp. If you're looking
to be extravagant you can add two!
